Recently, I seen like addicted by political kind of stories.
I am reading a book 'Kar' about politics, cultural of Turkey.... still reading.... will write something about it once I finished.
I also watched Polanski's latest movie, The Ghost Writer
I hope you know who he is, to remind you, he directed The Pianist, Le Locataire (The Tenant), Chinatown
If you still dun know... please google :) maybe need 30k words to introduce him to you, I dun have the time.
Well... go back to the movie, is a 2010 French/British political thriller film. I like the movie!
Firstly because Ewan McGregor his british accent really turn me on!!
Sorry, I always can't resist the british accent charm... so sexy!
Secondly, Pierce Brosnan, after he acted as James Bond, all movies acted by him I also feel like watching James Bond's movies -.-|||
But not in this movie, and because of this role I only realize he is a good actor as well. :)
The story is about a former British Prime Minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan) like to published a memoirs about him.
How's him from a normal universal student who not interested of politic at all become a politician?
(He says he join political just because he in love with his wife Ruth, a woman active in political organization, emm.. sound romantic!)
But himself not a good writer.. I think 99% memoirs also not write by themselves.
So... he need a ghost writer. After the first ghost writer drown, his wife got him a new ghost - Ewan McGregor
He start to interview with Lang to get informations for the book and some investigation about he past.
Within this time, Lang deemed a war crime & crime against humanity by the International Criminal Court.
Ghost also found something suspicious from the previous ghost's documents, got himself into a dangerous situation, etc etc...
It's rarely happen, I was wrong to guess of who is the manipulator killed the first ghost!!
And... too bad my Ewan dead in the end :(
FIY, as in the novel, the character is an allusion to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a handsome old man tho :D
3 Stars, The End.
